Espresso Royale at 1101 South University in Ann Arbor opened in September of 2004. Right at the Arched entrance to the U of M Diag - the store can't be missed. Outside there are dozens of patio chairs to enjoy the Michigan weather. Inside there are several distinct seating areas to chat, study, people watch, escape or be noticed. Downstairs the colors are warm and cozy. Upstairs the colors are light and airy, the music and bustling sounds of Ann Arbor's busiest café keep the customers wide awake as they contemplate another day at U of M. The two espresso machines run a steady stream of coffee and moist steam wafts in the air and sends plumes of chocolate aroma out the doors beckoning to the weary and overly quizzed academics. "Latte, Mocha, Cappuccino, come fill your weary soul" Ok, you can't exactly hear the aroma saying stuff but the rest is pretty much true.
